Hi, I'm Lani and this is my blog! Let me introduce you to the regulars in our cast:

Me: I'm an MFA candidate in Youth Theatre at the University of Hawaii. I am a stage manager at heart and love theatre, food, reading, teaching and food. I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up, but my grandma assured me I wouldn't grow up (she said she never did), so I'm not worried about it.

At Hoomaluhia Botanical Gardens in Kaneohe, down the street from our old house

My husband, Joe: Director, fellow MFA candidate and my best friend. Married 2 almost 3 years. I like him because he is funny, but don't tell him I told you that.

My brother, Shawn: He moved to Hawaii a year ago to take an awesome job managing a go-kart track but has since moved back to Florida. He is at school to get his mechanic's certification. Way to go, bro! He is talented at pretty much everything, which makes me jealous. And we used to live together. On purpose.Also, he ALWAYS looks good in photos, no matter what he is doing. I find that really annoying. I always wanted to be the pretty one.

Shawn and Sophie 

Kristin, Shawn's girlfriend fiancee wife: An avid animal lover and all around fun gal. We share a healthy love of sci-fi, margaritas and white wine. Plus, we both like my brother. Of course she moved back to Florida with Shawn so now Joe and I live all alone with Lulu.


Sophie, The Beast: loves playing, sleeping, playing, eating, licking people, sleeping, eating and getting into the trash can. Don't let the cuteness fool you. When she moved back to Florida Joe complained that Shawn took his dog away. She isn't ours...

The tongue is a problem

Lulu: my kitty cat. Her hobbies are eating, sleeping, eating and shedding. Oh, and she likes to sleep. She likes to daydream about chasing birds and fitting herself into boxes that are way too small for her.
